While in Juneau, Alaska my family and I took a helicopter ride to the top of a glacier where we even got to walk around. It was hands down one of the coolest things I have ever done, behind belaying down a 100-foot tall castle in Austria. Note: the word “coolest” is implied metaphorically as well as literally; it was FREEZING cold up there, 40 degrees or so below freezing. I tasted the water that runs from the melted ice of the glacier and it was the purest, coldest water you could ever imagine. Take that, Evian.

I love rain… but if it ruins my cute flats, I am not a happy camper. Regardless, I had to make due with the rainy weather that we encountered on the first two days of our trip while in Vancouver, BC before aboarding ship for Alaska.
