The Laili Lau line is exactly the wardrobe that one would imagine their upper-class hippie aunt to wear: it had the earth tones and light fabrics that were very down to earth, but then a touch of matte sequins here and there to give it some glam. All in all, I loved the collection. It was all about combining different (or alike) fabrics and textures together that you normally wouldn’t think to combine: silk jersey pants with a light wool sweater, knit pants with a knit sweater, etc. My favorite looks were the drapey gunmetal-brown dress or the light green wool slacks with the tan holey oversize sweater.
